Pros

Quiet environment. Work is easy. And customers are nice. Most people can be kinda pleasant the only problems are the leads and managers really.

Cons

It's basically like high school. You have to be with the "in" crowd in order to stay there, if not they don't care and fire you for no reason. And they don't fire you to your face, or even give you a 2 week notice, they will call you and fire you like that. They force people to sell and don't care whether about the customers well being. It's sales pitch is repetitive and they don't take no for an answer....

Pros

Fully booked weeks in advance. I don't have to deal with marketing, insurance, business costs, costs for supplies and linens, or any other of the business aspects of being a therapist. I just have to show up and work. Decent pay and tips. Decent hours. Front desk staff at our location is young, but professional and enthusiastic about their jobs. Most employees at the location are respectful and fun to be around.

Cons

No therapists for evening shifts... Lack of therapists in general. Makes it harder to be able to swap with someone who would never normally work an evening shift. This also means that I am working more deep pressure massages even if my pressure type is light. NO benefits. Clinic management comes and goes - no steady leadership. Ownership doesn't know what goes on in the clinics, doesn't seem to care about employees. Seems like ownership cares only about making money and not about spending the money on supplies and needed training to stay competitive. Corporate not in touch with the clinics... again, seems that they do not care about employees or the actual needs of the clients

Does not value employees

Pros

Always booked, no need to pay for linens or lotion

Cons

They don't value employees, if you leave for more than 8 weeks and ever plan to come back, you are considered a new hire despite impeccable record of performance, and started at the new employee rate of pay instead of showing therapists who have generated over $300k for the business via FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOCUMENTED HOURS OF MASSAGING PEOPLE that you value them by reinstating the credit for all the hard work they've put I in. Dead end job
