Always something to do, makes the day go by faster even if there aren’t jobs to be made

Cons

Lab techs still have to do retail learning modules that are useless and waste time, manager doesn’t do his job and expects everyone else to pick up the slack, no full time position available, retail side gives the lab work that they can do themselves, a lot of responsibilities for not enough money

Free pair every year, free eye exam, learn a lot about optical, commission, onesight, and my coworkers are cool.

Cons

I enjoy working at LensCrafters most of the time, but sometimes it depends on who’s your manager and regional manager. Sometimes work goes smoothly but also sometimes you have people who live and breathe LC that go down your neck for profit for a company that can’t afford your sick pay. I stay because I love optical but the companies a little dicey, no matter how much you sale or surpass goal, they give one line of congratulations and then hit you with a near impossible goal to hit so you can’t rely on your commission.
