Pros

Nice people Excellent culture of helping one another Good mutual respect from other employees Good place to start your career - but don't stay too long.

Cons

Zero respect from higher management towards employees. No proper social events or training given, despide promises during interview process. High turnover rate for experienced people who know they can do better elsewhere. Salaries are woeful compared to similar organisations. No proper distinction on what qualifies one person as a senior consultant vs another as a principal or regular consultant. Expected to be in meetings from 08:30 until tea time if you're on a project. Lots of busy work and excel sheets, but tasks are very dull and uninspiring. The people who have worked there too long are like cult members (Proximites?). They have tunnell vision about how to approach tasks and are difficult to work with if you're not indoctrinated into their mindset. Ex CEOs of Proxima are given contracts to train staff in the most irrelevant and useless topics that you are expected to pretend to like.

Pros

- There are some good people that work there. - Close-knit team that has each others back.

Cons

- No direction or follow- through. - Quick to place and assign blame. - Outdated analytics technologies and practices. - Too much bureaucracy to drive any substantive change or progress. - Pressure and stress are not worth pay and time. There are better data roles out there. - Obsessed with feedback that ultimately leads to no change. - Quick to manage people out if they are not a good 'fit'.

Pros

- Excellent opportunities for personal development and training - Good work life balance and flexibility - Authentic colleagues and collaborative sentiment

Cons

- Projects can be a hit and miss. Some excellent projects and some with challenges, as with any consultancy - Compensation is better at other consultancies, but this comes at the sacrifice of work life balance - Developing a specialism at consultant level may take longer here than in industry, due to the variety of work
