I started at Octopus as an energy specialist over 4 years ago, and I am now 6 months into my role as a Talent Partner. It has been the absolute BEST environment for my professional and personal development! My pathway to talent is largely thanks to the fact that Octopus does not constrain people by job titles. While always dedicating time to support our customers, as an energy specialist I was also given the freedom to contribute my ideas and do more of what I was best at, from training and coaching new joiners, to even getting to travel to Europe to work in a small project team and share our operating model. This fast-paced, exciting environment has ultimately led me on a squiggly path to talent acquisition. It feels very full circle that I now get to be part of the process that excites prospective joiners about the company, just as I was 4 years ago. The support I've had from the team around me since joining this area of the business has been amazing, my manager could not be more supportive, and I can't wait to continue to develop in this space.
