Pros
Octopus genuinely is the best place to work. There is a magic here that's hard to believe until you're in it. It can feel a bit scary at first because you're plunged into a world where you're surrounded by extraordinary talent, but you soon realise that it's a safe place to try things, get them wrong, and learn from them. There's a lot of dedication to serious work being done but equally a lot of time for a good laugh, especially during our Friday Family Dinner sessions. I believe in the mission and I believe the CEO truly wants to make a positive impact on our planet and the people in it. It's a blessing to be part of a company that you're proud to represent
Cons
The "flexible" working approach doesn't quite reach all teams equally. It's all there on paper but practically it can be hard to feel comfortable applying it when your department generally don't approach it that way, it still feels a bit awkward and as though it's not actually the done thing if you want to be seen to be working hard.
