Pros

If you like structure and being told what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. This is your place. I am not meaning that as an insult to Modis or to people who like strict structure. This employer offers that type of environment which has its pros. Military like structure and management. Very slow to evolve and very confident in it's modus operandi....hence the name. Good benefits and back office support. Notable client list and the marketing department does a great job of supporting the branch offices with proposals.

Cons

If you are not built to work within the Modis, modus operandi, you will not be happy. Modis is not interested in the ideas of people at the bottom or even at the top. Ideas are the enemy to the modus operandi. Modis operates the way Modis operates. The spokes of the wheel have little to no input. They need and want these people doing "the work". Senior Leadership seems to be tasked with implementing the modus operandi with no emotional intelligence or regard to moral. This creates turnover, probably viewed as good turnover and effective. This is why in spite of the high turnover the same Senior Leaders are in place. That is their job. Implement the way, so strictly, that those who do not subscribe will leave. If you do not subscribe and you do not willingly leave, you will be fired and without notice. If you work at Modis, offering a different way of doing things will only paint a target on your back, even if you intentions are good. Again, this is only a negative for people who like to operate in an environment that is more progressive. You will be managed and judged solely by your metrics, in spite of your results. This goes back to the do it our way mantra. Occasionally, a few managers and even senior leaders will stand out with ideas. They always end up getting fired. The ones who keep their heads down and who tow the company line are the ones that stay. Even if their offices or regions are not doing as well as others. Tow the company line and you will most likely be secure. You might get moved to another region or to another office but you will be viewed in a positive light by the powers at the top. There are competitors that offer a different way of doing things. Time will tell as to which way benefits the bottom line the most. You have the freedom to choose where you work so choose with this information in mind.

Pros

I worked with great people in the local office and we had good success.

Cons

The company in general and Corporate Senior Management in particular are mired in the 1990s Boys Club and are struggling in the mid-2010s Tech Services industry, especially with their emphasis on a metrics-driven tactical 1990s staffing approach. Did not appreciate the secrecy and dishonesty with which they handled the merger with ENT or the chaos of the company's restructuring.
