Pros
Ability to write your own paycheck. Work hard play hard mentality. Ability to impact many peoples lives for the greater by getting them a job when they need it most. If you do this job correctly, free of money driven principles, you can be a true savior for someone in a time of need. People tend to forget that we don't just "wheel and deal" contractors...that's actually the worst part of what I do. Each branch location exists in very different markets and is consequently set-up an run very differently. It is impossible to make blanket assumptions about Modis based on this fact. Also the motivations and business methods of each employee are different and intrinsic of that persons' personality. Again, you can't generalize. This is a PRO for me because I am allowed to cultivate my own business style based on standard company policies.
Cons
When you work for Modis, as with any other staffing company, you get out what you put in. If you are a hard worker with a competitive drive and need to succeed this is a place where you can make a lot of money. If you aren't that type of person that can exist in a commission driven environment then look for something else. Due to this factor alone there is a high turnover in personal. Also, the company and staff is highly volatile as it is directly linked the IT market. But hey, that;s business! Supply and demand. Some recruiters and sales people can be on the sleazy side but don't generalize!
