Pros

There are still some very good people left in the stores, although not sure how much longer they can put up with the amount of pressure being applied to the staff to deliver sales on overprice merchandise.

Cons

Love having to report up 10 different metrics every 3 hours? then this is the place for you! the level of MICROMANAGEMENT going on could not be matched by my parents when I was a 4 year old learning to ride the bicycle. The products are overpriced and their labs closed, but they expect unrealistic goals to be met (despite constantly crashing computers).

Pros

Free pair of glasses a year, some nice customers that make for a little break in the day. Days off!

Cons

Stressful!! Too many trackers....how many customers bought glasses from in store dr., how many cleaners sold, how many of certain type of lenses. Job is threatened if those goals aren't met. Basically selling things to customers who don't need it just to meet a goal-not a true optical job where customer needs are met but strictly a high pressure retail store where sales are more important. Staffing is low so a few people do all the extra work plus try to make ridiculous goals.....while others don't pitch in but grab all the sales. Just a bad stressful atmosphere in a no win situation bound to get worse as labs are closing adding checking in jobs coming from main lab to the daily duties of the retail staff.

Pros

Love helping people find what they need. Benefits of insurance and free eyewear for every yr with company. If you work with the correct team everything is awesome. Also, they have a great selection in product. Love their Gift of Sight program when people don't take advantage of it.

Cons

The company is not fair to all employees. I fee like I work long hours and do so much for the store and team and I am not appreciated. Also, new and senior employees get pair differently as in new associates get paid more than the senior associates. The commission is TERRIBLE. Raises are the worst.
