Pros

Good development opportunities. Until the crisis ING had a strong brand and good marketplace reputation.

Cons

The company is risk averse and since the onset of the global financial crisis they have tried to micro manage the global organization from Amsterdam. Low standards for managing performance.

Helpful co-workers. Wide range of access to tools and financial data. Fostering team spirit is a big deal for management.

Cons

Glass ceiling with regards to specific type of work (i.e. private banking). Limited learning on skills outside of selling and account management.

relaxed work environment, pay is reasonable, generally nice people to work with, good benefits package, work life balance is good

Cons

limited upward mobility in title and compensation, no real defineable culture, lack of energy/motivation among employees is tangible, outlook for company is dismal in certain areas
