Pros

Agile-native culture with genuine feature ownership end-to-end. Colleagues are generally smart and well-intentioned, and the work-life balance is noticeably better than the Big 4. Good exposure to cloud-native patterns, API design, and continuous delivery practices.

Cons

Tech investment is visibly lower than peers — you’ll feel the gap if you’ve come from Macquarie, Westpac, or CBA. Career progression for senior technologists is limited; the Chapter Lead structure can create bottlenecks where architectural decisions get slowed or diluted. Role boundaries between Solution Design and engineering can blur. Compensation is competitive but not market-leading for the level of complexity expected.

Pros

Decent salary and benefits. Relaxed pace. Good work-life balance.

Cons

Sometimes the pace can be too relaxed. Lots of bureaucracy. Slow moving processes and getting approvals can take ages. Sometimes entire features are scrapped after being developed and sitting on the shelf for half a year.
