      The organization has high hopes and expectations but doesn't want to commit the resources to accomplish it.

      Pros

      Benefits are good, good people, large international financial institution, many people have been working there for 15+ years. Depending on your location, the site may offer gym access.

      Cons

      Unreasonable growth expectations that can't be supported by the resources the organization is willing to commit. Different positions/departments have different goals, not everyone is judged (at least in part) on the profitability of the business. Not everyone in middle-management and above has a minimum understanding of the other parts of the business, can take a very narrow focus. Many members of upper management in my business unit don't even work out of the home office, but fly in every other week and work from home (across the country) the rest of the time.

      Reasonable benefits -- time off and good 401k match.

      Very bureaucratic -- but much the same as all large companies.
