Pros

One of few companies that still has a pension plan. Total compensation is competitive. Focused on improving processess and getting lean while maintaining a focus on the customer.

Cons

Reorganizations are frequent. Leadership is not in tune with the employee population. Performance evaluations are very subjective. The culture is one based on how much you are liked versus the competencies you bring to the job.

Superb benefits package, focusing on hiring young talent, lots of career opportunities when in the right business area, turning into a 100% internet bank at breakneck speed

Cons

severely downsizing due to economic crisis, IT division run by dynosaurs, snakepit internal politics, lots of old incompetent folk clinging on to their jobs as if their lives depended on it

Pros

ING Direct UK is a subsidiary on ING Netherlands. Companies IT purchasing and strategies are all tied into what the head office tell you. Good co-workers and interesting work keep your mind off the bad attitude of the senior management.

Cons

Unprofessional top management who are very autocratic. You are told every one has a voice but in fact it is only if your opinion is in line with the management. If you are to go against the management then you are put into your place and from here on there is only a downward spiral for you career.
