Pros

You can grow both as a person and as a business man. Chance to work with and around a lot of people, helping the to reach their goals and to get directly involved.

Cons

None, except that you have to work hard! At first the ladder seems impossible to climb, then you realise that step by step, customer by customer, distributor by distributor, you can make it

Racism, Bias and Favoritism: Will NOT recommend

Pros

Above average PTO and perks; free products in pantry, onsite gym, subsidized cafeteria, company sponsored events, good 401K, ok health plans, company anniversary celebrations, discounted product to purchase, monthly birthday celebrations. If you are buddy-buddy with your boss you can get far. Advancements and promotions are based purely on appearances and how good you are at brown nosing, not the quality or quantity of your work. If your work ethic is poor, you lack basic skills and have no relevant experience but you are great at schmoozing and kissing butt this is the place for you!

Cons

Promotions are dished out on completely frivolous reasons and empty “achievements” and are only based on your relationship with your superior. Ex. The superior has a handful of favorites, only they receive additional training or additional ‘responsibilities’ that lead to promotions, this it true across every department, not just the one I worked at. Pervasive racial bias so blatant and obvious it is essentially illegal discrimination and racism, exp: An Asian higher up for 2 years only hired and promotes employees of Asian descent, a Filipino higher up hired 5 out of 5 Filipinos to her group, an Indian only promoted those who are Indian, this pattern persists across all departments, HR is either complacent or completely asleep at the wheel. If you try to advance or move departments your direct management will retaliate against you by denying any future promotions and scheme behind your back to make sure you can’t move, your only available option is to leave the company.

Pros

Direct team is very talented and committed to doing their best work.

Cons

Leadership is clueless about how low morale is and how frustrated people feel about lack of advancement or fairness. A recent company survey revealed a deep unhappiness and rather than look at themselves leadership is asking employees to brainstorms ways to improve company culture. Political people excel. Reasonable talented people are collateral damage in power grabs. Female leadership doesn't support all women, just friends.
