Eataly 2022

Pros

The job isn’t hard at all. Especially if you’re working as a team.

Cons

You get a 25% discount. Which is nothing. A cookie/cake is 5.40 excluding tax. Your discount after taxes brings your total to 5.14. It’s honestly WACK. I think eataly makes more money from its employees buying the things than actual customers.

Pros

Working at Eataly is great money-wise because there is always foot traffic so the tips [almost] never lack. Your ability to move up will depend on (not just a great track record --never be late --be respectful) but also good relationship with managers. So that can be a very slow process.

Cons

Most of the time they'd rather hire out than use their current staff to promote. That can create a lot of turmoil within workers. Sub groups form, resentment and a lot of unnecessary conflict. Italians are better looked at than others.
