Pros

Excellent family benefits, long term benefits, and retirement packages after very little time with the brand. There is a sense of pride and passion working for a company that upholds its history, values, and social responsibilities.

Cons

As in many retail environments in the Midwest, there are not numerous positions available. However, if you take the time to learn, management is happy to develop your skills along the way for when opportunities do present themselves.

Pros

Pays well. Can receive bonuses based on yearly performance of company meeting numbers and LP standards. Always work to do with no down time. Excellent benefits as my second daughters birth was completely covered.

Cons

Few you directly work with actually invest in you as a person. Corporate provides a company standards training that teaches you nothing about how to do your job if you are stock. You are expected to reach out to other stores and self train in order to do your job. If you lose your store manager and you have a new AGM expect to take on way more than your role requires. Your review has little to do with your job description as it is purely based on if you meet the Burberry behaviors. Sales staff expects you to be in charge of everything relating to merchandise, dept leads especially own little in regards to setting and maintaining their department. This puts a great deal of pressure on you because if you are the only stock person you have to manage FOH, BOH and the offsite stock. Quality of product is going down as well.

Pros

When I worked at Burberry, they really gave you a sense of being part of something important, you felt quite valued and rewarded with great benefits including summertime hours, great discounts and sample sales, and a fantastic Christmas party and raffle.

Cons

The HR team was awful, they would fail to turn up to scheduled meetings, and were riduculously bad at solving HR related issues. Also one of the merch managers when I was there had a lot of complaints made about her due to the way she treated people, and HR were pretty bad with the way they managed the tricky situation.
