Not a good place to work in

Pros

You can earn as much as you want by doing OT, else not a single good thing to talk about.

Cons

Not a very good company to work with as they make you work like slave.. They rarely give promotion. In chat process, every month, at least 20-30 people leave and the company never try to retain them and tend to harass the employees who are working there.

Pros

Flexible working Good facilities at locations refurbished to Vodafone standards

Cons

Where to start?: Leadership and management - poor to non-existent, little of no regular feedback with direct manager, except where blame is to be attached to something that's not gone quite right. Culture - Long hours and demands on personal time are off the scale. No appreciation of this, a VERY task driven, get it done, unrealistic demands on time/effort of people. There's no such thing as "bad news" being presented to Snr Managers and if it does, then junior people quickly take the flak, blame and responsibility for fixing "problems" I've never come across an organisation with some many people feeling/looking stressed and completely maxed out with workload and demands on them. A lot of interaction is on-line, calls, lync etc, so the "human" element of work is missing in very large parts, to the extent you could sit next to anyone on one of the campus for days and never know who they are or what they do, it's heads down and nothing social about people/teams. Political - Power and connections are all in Vodafone. It's all about "perception" of you and not what you do, with Snr people quick and eager to take the credit for things going well and also VERY quick to seek blame when it doesn't Support for people - It's a sink or swim mentality very quickly, after the good 3-day induction, you are thrown in and no leeway given for short time served. No-one seems to even care, or ask how new starters are getting on. Constant Crisis management - Never think through initial decisions or project objectives and then apply extreme pressure and deadlines to fit original plan. Vodafone thrives on creating constant change, burning bridges, chaos and pressured work environment. Organisation - completely silo and not joined up. Masses of work outsourced and makes it unfathomable to work through processes, if any exist at all. The C&W business still operates as a separate business and no sign of any organisational or cultural integration.
