Pros

Good flexibility and trainin if you have the right boss

Cons

Our boss was terrible - we had a manipulative child at the helm and she would do just about anything to get her way (I won't say names). She was great at politics and playing games so she held onto her position well.

Pros

Access to the gym

Cons

- Everything Branson and the brand claim to represent, you wont find on the job - Poor management - Inability to meet health and safety regulations - Discrimination - Disgusting pay - Untrustworthy management - Procedures and protocols never met - Exceptionally high staff turnover The company are unable to meet the basic standards you would expect in a run down shop on the high street. It is even sadder that I have come on this website and seen so many similar reviews. Very dissapointing.

Pros

Great training opportunities for junior and starting staff. Career development within the business rapid and opportunities are various. Salary minimum wage with additional staff incentives (Including complimentary membership for self and one other, tribe discounts across Virgin affiliated companies, discount on fitness qualifications, swimming instructor qualifications etc)

Cons

Lack of company operational support and structure at higher/middle management leads to poor communication, unfair performance models, unrealistic FTE departmental management structures. With significant head office staff turn over of staff the operational support at club level is never satisfied. Leading to constant change in focus and lack of understanding of priorities at club level. This leads to underperforming financial results at non invested or challenging clubs. There seems to be more interest in wasting money on poor development options, than caring for the existing body of staff at club level. No control over annual budgeting process, leads to a lack of buy in at club level by management and staff. This causing an increase in staff attrition. Poor human resource processes and timelines, leading to operational concerns with replacing staff, managing staff etc
