1. Wrong pay every month and take two months to repay it, if at all, making you get taxed more than you should. When a 48 hour emergency BACS is actually an official procedure. 2. Toxic work environment. PTs get harassed and followed during sessions and clients feel followed and watched around the gym floor. Dystopian, tyrannical dictatorship atmosphere. 3. PT feedback gets dismissed. PT’s are treated unfairly, differently and as a result marginalise them to the point where they quit. PT turnover is very high attrition rate here. Unable to develop a strong team because of toxic, unfair management. Treated differently and unfairly among the group. 4. Daily investigations conducted on PTs constantly even when nothing of misconduct has been committed. Interrogate PT and clients on the gym floor, putting clients off leading to losing clients which one then gets berated for not having enough “numbers,” ie amount of sessions - all they care about is hitting their bonus and VA profiting out of you 5. Threats to get fired every day at work. Hostile work environment. 6. Team meetings unproductive and people get injured playing team bonding games then when it comes to feedback that part is rushed, one of the seniors walks out due to lack of interest and the meeting is ended early. 7. Lack of operations and processes - nothing gets done or fixed at this gym - 30 year old equipment all broken and hazardous - we never get a gym refurb - the gym is dirty and a state and it is difficult to train clients let alone retain them for longer than a year. Yet again, which one gets berated and harassed for numbers going down. 8. No help or support from management, even telling sales team not to offer any help. Just bullish behaviour. Spoken down upon and shunned during 1-2-1 meetings. Intimidation tac tics and constant threats. 9. Underpaid. Job advertisement is misleading. Inaccurate pay. Virgin Active take 62% of your profits. 10. Members gets away with verbally abusing staff and trespassing private staff areas in the gym and if one defends themselves they get a written warning.
