Pros

Working at Virgin Active allows you to deliver innovative personal training sessions to clients with high end equipment. As well as developing your fitness teaching, customer service and management skills with regular personal development courses.

Cons

Commission based income from Personal training, with no basic salary. Low pay for workers that are not in management.

I am so pleased to hear that you took advantage of the development system that we have in place and were able to deliver your business with the right tools. The pay system works on a tier system, the more sessions you deliver, the higher the hourly rate. This is also uncapped, so you can earn as much as you wish to work. Another great advantage that we have is; at Virgin Active we do not charge rent like a lot of our competitors. Thanks again, Radha.

Great Culture, Low compensation

- Virgin Active has a great culture of people as well as members. - Good club level management

Cons

- Low compensation - Work every single weekend - Low level of input from lower level workers - Strong - High staff turnover - Always short staffed and always increasing workload demands - Low level of opportunity for growth

Not for everybody

Pros

Lovely customers, loads of challenges, great training provided, growing friendship between departments and teams.

Cons

Sales manager pushing memberships consultant into illegal sales to hit their target, a lot of pressure and false promises from the management.
