Pros

Great career development opportunities, work with a great team of both frontline and management. Free gym membership for you and a buddy, discounted virgin services ie virgin media, virgins trains etc

Cons

The only thing I can think of is that it is a 7 day business. You're expected to be fully flexible, which I am so not too bad.

Amazing! 5* Thank you so much. You have been with us for more than 3 years and have kept your fantastic positive attitude. Its employee's like you that allow us to be Red Hot at what we do, Keep up your hard work. The nature of the business means that you do have to be flexible in order to meet the members needs. Thank you for pointing out that we have a great management team in place who care about their staff, this is key to our business. Thank you, Radha.

Leaving the company with Mixed feelings

Pros

Was lucky enough to have an amazing team in club who stick together help each other and made friendships not only work relationships.

Cons

Unfortunately the company does not value it's employes enough to keep them. They would do anything to keep a paying customer but would not bother if a member of staff who may have been essential part of the club leaves. The salary is way too low for a high profile company that is mostly based in London and Central London with a very few exceptions and has a high demand on exclusive customer service and above and beyond attitude. The work load is heavy and you can not find work life balance due to the low salary. The company does not live up to the Virgin Values for engaging their staff and keeping them motivated.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I am saddened to hear that you felt undervalued and that we as an employer do not engage with our staff. We have spent a lot of time recently launching our new values into the business that we also share with other Virgin companies. This is something that we strongly believe is an essential part of our business. Engagement, Development and Retention are key points of our agenda and we embed that to employees at all levels. If there is anything else you would like to talk to me about please contact me at peoplehub@virginactive.co.uk thanks, Radha.

Pros

Good facilities, friendly staff, a very nice; wholesome atmosphere and environment. Very nice place to work and also a nice place to relax

Cons

Wage is low for my occupation, would be nice if they increase the pay for all members of staff, being beaten by competitors

Fantastic! 4* review, thank you so much. I love hearing that our employees enjoy their environment at work and that the staff are friendly. We keep in line with our competitors for pay and our industry. We have fantastic perks that our employees can also enjoy and a free Membership for you and a buddy which is not common in our industry. Thank you again for all of your hard work. Radha
