Pros

Pay, great on your resume, good training for performance managing your team, good benefits, Schedule was (3) 12 hr days or (4) 10 hour days so alot of free time to travel and recoup

Cons

Senior management, politics, heirarchy is just your senior operations manager and then the GM. Depending on who your senior was (potentially a former peer), it could stall your career development or help it - big knee pads needed to move 'up' or keep good standing, upper management didn't care to get to know your frontline employees. No ability to move up within the location unless into senior management or go to headquarters or store-side

Pros

Excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k match, time off, tuition reimbursement, etc. Take full advantage if you can! Really committed to career growth and development. Base salary and bonus is also extremely competitive for the industry.

Cons

You give up weekends, holidays, and put in long hours. They say it’s 10 hour days, but that’s a good day! Very little opportunity to make vacation plans or travel during any peak seasons so the huge amount of vacation you build up is worthless.

Pros

A few people take pride in the job and have a strong work ethic. The remodel on the store made it more bearable to be there. Busy store, never a dull moment.

Cons

Concerns and questions were ignored by management. Minimum amount of pay for twice the amount of work they wish done. Short staffed at all times, hours were inconsistent. Executive team leads prefer to order Starbucks and hide in the offices or the back room and take no leadership over their respective teams. It was only when their superiors would be there would act as if the team was a priority and showed a presence on the sales floor.
