Pros

CEO Mark Benioff pushes for inclusive and equality culture.

Cons

Unfortunately the hiring managers don’t practice the company values. If you are a minority especially African American don’t bother applying for any senior positions . These jobs go to hiring managers friends who are white men and white women no matter how qualified you are. The recruiters are biased and they already know who the hiring managers “friends “ will be filling the positions. Minorities are only interviewed for EEOC statistics tracking. It’s a joke.

Rampant sexual harassment and management doesn't care

Pros

In the time I've been here, I've learned a ton, been promoted repeatedly, traveled extensively and had great opportunities, but the whole experience has been overshadowed by harassment from executives and I am not alone in that experience

Cons

There is a culture of sexual harassment within Sales and Marketing. It seems to be tacitly approved by management, so women don't bother to report it and male executives treat this place like a playground on which to prey on young women. Makes it hard to do your job well.

Pros

Zero as far as I was concerned. It’s all about an every changing PowerPoint narrative that is high level at best — and the “next big thing” everyone was directed to focus on — which changed at least 3 times in my short tenure.

Cons

The huge number of sales “overlays” is shocking and a complete disservice to shareholders. Very few were evenly moderately well versed in their “cloud specialty”. For a company that invented CRM, the instance of CRM the Reps used is a compete mess of a maze with duplicate account records, thousands of overcomplicated widgets and very little explanation for why they were needed or even better; why not sunset them? Many were useless and last used years ago. Most shocking was discovering that less than 40% of the Reps make Quota. I never once heard on an All Hands call any reference to Quota Attainment — it was all about the record breaking prior Quarter or Prior Year Growth — and as a result how awesome everyone was! While growth is a critical metric, when Quotas have almost zero chance of being attained, the model is broken. Or it’s just simply disingenuous. Thinking high caliber (and highly recruited) Reps are going to stick around for their base salary with the hopes that next year’s account list “might” be better is a non starter.
