      Pros

      The company itself is good to work for and a lot of fun with perks like free food

      Cons

      Management is all over the place with some questionable decision making skills, often rushing things and then having to pull them back. Inter-department communication also made it difficult to do the job. Huge amounts of negative changes to job role and compensation once I started.

      Fair assessment, clear and prompt communication

      Pros

      Throughout the entire process, communication was very clear and timely. The technical assessment was fairer and in my opinion more accurate. Rather than requiring an live coding challenge, a take-home challenge was provided with a follow-up live review. This removes the high pressure anxiety aspect of completing most coding challenges while still allowing the employer to assess the interviewees understanding of the work and thought process behind the submission.

      Cons

      Interviewing with Kraken was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. And this reflects the values that I have learned this company lives and breathes: fairness, appreciation, and trust.
