Upper management is literally incompetent. Spending more time trying to desperately figure out how to connect with the millennial crowd that they hired, that same "culture" that they lured everyone in with and built in the beginning has been absolutely destroyed in every regard. Leadership only cares about where the next client submittal comes from to feed a fake KPI that is created internally, and this problem has only gotten worse with a recent promotion in the office. Certain managers tell you one thing, then go behind closed doors and say another thing to each other. Nothing at all is constant or fluid, leadership makes you feel like garbage with passive aggressive comments about not staying late every single day (while they go home early, arrive late constantly), and our jobs were constantly being threatened if we weren't hitting the extremely unreasonable metrics.
Management likes to remind us frequently that these KPI numbers (and pay scale, for that matter) are "industry standard", but in hindsight, this is definitely not the case. Modis requisitions are not stable or reliable enough to ever reach the "uncapped commission" they hark on about, leaving the majority of the workforce feeling severely underpaid, burnt out, and overworked. Seriously. I have friends who work in retail or food service, worked 2/3 of my hours, and made about as much.
Everybody plays the system, even one of the managers were fired for feeding their ""top producer"" fraudulent numbers. Every SINGLE person on the production floor is looking for a new job, even the top employees, and management is too stubborn to see the error in their ways - Modis is going to, and has already lost top talent to the competition.
It's a call center. The grass IS greener on the other side, just this once.
