Pros

The unlimited commission, but even this can be complicated to calculate because of so many tiers, %, variables, calculations etc. A 14 week training program that will give you a crash course in recruiting/sales.

Cons

This company seems to be going in the wrong direction everyday. From "encouraging" employees in September to take all their PTOs before the end of year so they wouldn't have to pay out, to doing 3-4 rounds of layoffs since early 2016. And since its a production based industry, you are still responsible to produce and hit your metrics. They don't care about you or what you do for them because it's never enough. Since the numerous layoffs of the majority of Directors and Managers it leaves lots uncertainty, no clear direction, depletion of office moral, etc. It's not an inviting culture. Try juggling a million things with one hand tied behind your back and still being expected to perform and make a profit. Fingers get pointed for things outside of your control. Example, if there are only a limited amount of sales people (2) bringing in requisitions and you have 6 recruiters working and competing for submits, you can't hit your weekly submit goals. So many other things wrong with this company. The company's new slogan is "do more with less".

Pros

Since the company I wanted to work for brings on everyone as a contractor first, they were able to get me an interview.

Cons

After I landed the position, Modis had a massive layoff. The good people who remained left shortly thereafter. For five months I had no contact with anyone except an occasional email response (1 out of every 5 emails I sent was responded to) from an administrative assistant hours away. Simple questions were left unanswered, calls were not returned, and I was left to completely fend for myself in an environment where the company I contracted to work with had no one to talk to about me. Modis was the worst organization I have ever had the displeasure to work for.

Pros

Commission structure is decent. Good recruiters will make great money.

Cons

Very male centric. Everything is sport team related .. The business development teams are rewarded by lying about receiving job orders. managing directors promote chaos within recruiting members. My office was extremely sexist and aggressive and the company HR group is a joke.
