This turns out in a constant state of uncertainty, leaving people to ask theirselves who will be hit in the next round of lay offs and redundancies. Management style is leadership by proximity. Bullying behaviour on non-US employees is perpetrated by middle and low management, with the tacit consent of the higher hierarchy.

Very vague and loosely defined promotion path. Since there are so many employees, much of the work is compartmentalized compared to smaller semiconductor companies. This leaves you a lot more focused in your area, but it is more difficult to migrate to other companies since you have such a fixed role.
