Pros

free pair of glasses annually. Nice people to work with. Working with the public can be nice if you're a people person.

Cons

Complete disregard of employee's opinions. Employee is asked to provide feedback but, if the info is not what management wants to hear, then you're labelled as having the wrong belief and not being "brand right". The advertising is not effective!!!!! All of our products is starting to look alike. We keep losing experienced opticians and there's a high turnover rate. Too much attention on sales and not enough on customer care and service!!! Computers are too slow and tech support is useless!!!

Pros

the associates you work with and the benefits.

Cons

New management is not optically trained AT ALL! If they can't take a seg hight or a pd correctly and don't know the difference between a vertext diistance and panoscopic tilt they shouldn't be in the business. There is NO training anymore in optics. If you can enter data you have a job. They cut your hours so badly there is only one real optician at any given time and they have all the dispensind/adjusting work so they can't possibly meet their goals! Also if they are the only ones with the codes to authorize a sale or a return and they are always busy with a dispence how are they supposed to walk over to each associate that needs to be authorized! They end up yelling their code accross the store because they can't be in two places at once then they get FIRED for breach of security! The C2 culture is a joke. If I wanted to memorize a bunch of brainwashing mantras I would have joined the military. This will not make people sell better. It only adds unneeded pressure to over stressed employees. Get a grip LC, If you want us to sell more product get the advertising department in gear and get more folks into the stores.

Pros

Good place to get your foot in the door in the optical industry. Lots of locations.

Cons

High stress. The company expects complete dedication and loyalty but treats every associate as expendable. You are only as good as yesterdays numbers. Rather than develop skills to sustain long term results, the pressure is on to deliver today at all costs. Low integrity from upper management.
