Pros

This company gave me my start in the optical industry when I didn't have any experience and for that I'm grateful. I went to opticianry school but I learned so much from the hands on training I received. I grew so much as an optician and also a lab tech because of my managers and co workers.

Cons

The pay is low because they always low ball you during negotiations and also because they always cut hours. Fulltime status is 30 hours a week so you rarely come close to 40. Career advancement is low because they would rather hire someone externally with less experience because they want to pay them less money than hire from within.

Pros

was a great company in the beginning, 1998 ..benefits,full time hours, low turnover quality mid management

Cons

wow where to start, benefits cut, no full time positions, all changed to part time, including asst management, high turn over after training (wasted time really since you have to retrain someone for every position every 5 months) took two mid management positions and combined into one ..zero regard for long term employees

Pros

Free pair of prescription eye/sunglasses once a year.

Cons

Upper management does not care about its front line employees. They constantly cut hours claiming they are trying to cut back on expenses. Full time employees are lucky to get 20+ hours a week. Very disorganized, think they are the only optical in the world, and have no idea or interest in the rest of the industry. Sales are terrible and do not attract customers.
