Pros

Customer service experience, learning a useful skill that can be applied to jobs in the future, commission, great coworkers, fun atmosphere (sometimes), not too terribly stressful or hard, good part time job for students

Cons

Corporate in general (constantly breathing down your neck about numbers, not really caring for you as a person, very rigid at times), the fact that it's a monopoly, sometimes very rigid scheduling (not too much flexibility on requests off, especially on weekends), being short staffed too often

Free pair of glasses every year, flexible schedule, decent training if you take your own initiative. Ability to help people see better and make a difference in their lives.

Cons

Low pay, incompetent managers, limited ability to manufacture certain prescriptions. Charging way too much for a pair of glasses, poor customer service because of lazy employees and management.
