The ability to work with customers or patients at a one-on-one level to help them have better vision. Working in a lab where you see a job from start to finish and can take pride in assisting someone with their vision.

Cons

Working basic retail hours, moving away from an office experience to a less professional and more typical retail storefront, non-transparency with factors that contribute to commissions or spiffs.

The store design make selling glasses efficient and easy with accufit. Fast paced enviroment and lots to learn!

Cons

The corporate stress takes a toll on most managers and trickles down to the rest of employees most of the time. Was not told about all opportunities like optician apprentice. When trying to grow within the company it was clearly about who you know and not what you know or your skills.
