Great experience - poor upper management.
Pros
This job taught me so much - I worked there for about 3 years and the amount of experience I gained was incredible. People sometimes don't realize how much goes into being good at this job - whether that's from the customer, or new employers. If you can work here successfully, a lot of other jobs in retail will be a walk in the park.
Cons
The upper managment in the most recent years gives VERY little morale to the staff - this starts with your direct manager, however the biggest issue is generally with the RGM. They have very unrealistic expectations. Perfect example - they tell you how to run a store when they're never in your store to see how everything is run. Not the best way to diagnose the issue. They hear, but do not listen - is the best way to describe it.
