Pros

Great benefits all around. Great people. Didn't seem like there was much work, I had a lot of free time.

Cons

Layoffs every year. I was affected by the most recent after only working for a few months. Really makes you question the management. Why hire several people if you plan on laying them off 3 months later?

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Reducing our workforce is a difficult, but necessary, decision to make as we continue to execute our strategy for Intelligent Transformation while achieving sustainable, profitable growth. Recently we had to take this step of rebalancing our headcount and skills to position us for the future. We treated those affected with dignity and respect, and offered a strong transitional program. While we may reduce positions in certain areas of the business, we are investing in others, adding new employees with the necessary skills to fuel our future growth. Lenovo will continue to make adjustments as needed as part of our ongoing management of the business.

Pros

My immediate manager and team were great to work with. Lots of flexibility when it comes to working from home. Many networking opportunities.

Cons

Recently removed the cubicles and switched to an open layout. Second RA in less than a year

Pros

Generally decent people who mean well.

Cons

Specifically the data center group: lack of market awareness means tough slog to sell. Suprisingly amateur; disfunctional systems, misguided senior management team, totally under resourced for the ambitions of the company. The lack of people means lots of very long days, exasibated by last century systems, and outsourced or overseas functions who frankly are not up to the job. It’s hard to compete in the market when you can’t provide competitive quotes to customers quickly, and delivery times can be 6-8 weeks. Onsite support poor too - it is outsourced to IBM with no SLA in place, so frequently have issues that IBM doesn’t fix as there’s no penalty to them. Many other issues like this are damaging the reputation of the company. Most of the team is demotivated and looking elsewhere for jobs as the pressure rises with increased targets and diminishing resources.
