Pros

Good benefits. Good opportunity to learn new things. Nice facilities. Work life balance. Research Triangle Park is a nice area to live.

Cons

For United States employees expect your job to be moving over to China shortly. Hard to trust upper level management. Difficult to achieve bonus goals.

We currently had a resource action due to our transformation to a PC+ company. We bought Motorola Mobility and IBM x86 Server business. Both businesses were not performing prior to our purchase. We bought them to transform them to be profit engines. This takes serious effort and time, and unfortunately required re-sizing for long term success. We expect the turn around to start very soon. We experienced a similar pattern when we bought IBM's PC division 10 years ago. Now, we are the #1 PC company in the world with our highest market share ever. We expect great things in the long term. We have clear vision to become stronger than ever....and we have thousands of employees in the US and intend to continue to have a very strong anchor here.

Pros

Gave a great package to make leaving easier. Lots of great opportunities in other groups in the company. Global in scope. Great facilities.

Cons

Bought a Division to destroy it. Sat around for months with no real plan for next steps. Always a problem with new Divisions being folded in, but it wasn't like the sale hadn't been in the works for several years to hit the ground running when it was completed...

Lenovo certainly is not in the business of hurting itself. Our intention was to buy the x86 business to make it more successful. It takes time to transform any acquisition into a success. We do have a long term plan that will lead us to success. Thank you for your time while you were with us. Best Wishes to you.

Thanks for your feedback. Lenovo is the #1 PC company in the world. So we certainly do understand how computers work. We'd have to disagree about stock options, as this is generally not commonly a part of most job offers. We do realize that we are organizing our products, particularly in newly acquired business areas. These new areas are being set up for long term success. That take a bit of patience and time. We have done this before successfully, and we intend to transform to be more efficient. Thank you for your time while you worked for us and Best Wishes!
