Pros

This used to be the best company in the world to be a part of. The founders, Rick Mikles and Joseph Acebal were amazing men who created a one-of-a-kind industry that blossomed into a first-class experience for Customers and Employees. They truly cared about every aspect of the company and were extremely loyal and generous. As an employee, you felt appreciated and part of something special. You mattered and so did your hard work and your opinion. Rick and Joe were not bosses or managers, they were REAL LEADERS who empowered you to be and do your best. Bruce Fabel will never even remotely come close to measuring up to them. Ever!

Cons

Upon acquisition of the company, Bruce Fabel was appointed CEO. Big Mistake!!!! This one man has all but completely destroyed the company and the brand. As a "potential employee" reading these reviews, you should know that the Ideal Image NOW is not the wonderful Ideal Image that it was back THEN. These are real reviews from real employees who wanted and needed to have a voice again. All of the "great reviews" you see are current employees in Tampa who were instructed to write them by Bruce Fabel, specifically about himself and how great he is. Yes, he is that vain that he instructed employees to write reviews to boost his ego and counteract the multiple negative reviews. Having to work with him was just awful! He is controlling, manipulative and arrogant. He harshly judges other people because he believes he is better than them and he intimidates them with his "power". He uses his position as a my way or the highway tactic. He is inappropriate and makes derogatory and unnecessary comments to you because he "can"! He has fired or forced all of the employees, who were the backbone of the company, to resign. If you do not follow his strict orders, including what to eat and drink, you will be next. Literally, he told us what we can eat and drink in the office. To work here, you must look a "certain way" and participate in all company functions, even though you put in extreme overtime weekly, you must still give up your weekend family time to attend company gatherings or you will be accused of "not participating or caring". This is the new corporate environment and it is felt at the center level too. Changes are made daily regarding pay structure and bonuses, new services are pushed into the centers with minimal training and test trials and employees and customers are unhappy! The turn over rate is higher than it has ever been. Bruce cares about 2 things... His ego and his paycheck. He has his eyes on the money and any and everything between that means nothing. This is how to destroy a company- Let Bruce show you!

The founders of Ideal Image Rick and Joe created a wonderful company. Our President Bruce Fabel has preserved the incredible company culture they created. Our associates under our president’s leadership are committed to evolve Ideal Image into an anti-aging company that helps our guests’ age gracefully. We are committed to providing services that help our guests’ look and feel great! Some of our former associates had trouble dealing with change. We wish them luck in the future and appreciate the contributions they made.

Pros

Health ism benefits - pto is even lousy here so can't brag about it. It's really hard to say what the pros are besides free services .

Cons

Awesome Bruce Fabel and corporate - go have your employees there post on here "great" reviews about how awesome of a company ideal image is!! NO ONE EXCEPT CORPORATE LEADS get treated and appreciated the way they are suppose too ! Employee of the month in a review I saw? And tenure service recognized?! No! You've done that one time since January of this year. The rest of the time Bruce you've been a sleeze bag picking up people to work for your centers off the streets. Of Tampa cause no real professionals want to work for someone like you cause you care about your wallet and don't appreciate the people you already have working for you! Btw Bruce awesome to send a mass email about an employee you valued that she was going to leave with her family to another state to work for Hooters! I hope she turned you in To HR cause that was rude and disrespectful.

We offer our associates competitive compensation, bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits. Ideal Image has consistently awarded the Employee of the Month and our Years of Service awards since our President Bruce Fabel introduced these employee recognition programs. We choose not to comment on the absurd acquisitions about our President’s character. I am not sure why this person’s review would take offense to an email that our President sent to all of our associates thanking our former Vice President of Human Resources for all of her hard work and wishing her future success.

Pros

Amazing industry to be in! We get the opportunity to positively impact people everyday.

Cons

Culture of Ideal Image: put policies in effect that negatively impact clients/customers, staff and management. Failure to be transparent. Leave the clinics to pick up the pieces. Negative Google reviews/NPS are pouring in daily, and in the masses, that directly call out the companies poor policies and culture. Then our CEO states on a nation call "our clients are mad that no one is getting back to them." Incredibly tone deaf. As management does, in fact, get back to the clients. The issue is that management has their hands tied and has to tell these upset people "sorry, I cannot do anything for you." Clients spend thousands of dollars to get treatments in our clinics, and if they do not get in within their contract dates, management is supposed to tell them "sorry, it's expired." or throw their own bonuses down the toilet. Managers are told by corporate "you can give out free treatments at your discretion." But then turn around and take away bonuses for giving out too many, in their opinion. But if we don't give out those treatments for upset clients, we get hit by negative reviews, which management is also bonused from. As you can see, this creates a poor culture. As the process goes like this 1) Client purchases with us 2) we cannot get them in a certain amount of time/or client chooses not to use treatments right away 3) expired contracts 4) cannot extend 5) bad google review/NPS 6) management calls and is unable to extend OR gives out "comp" treatments 7) management does not get bonuses from either poor google reviews or giving out too many "free" treatments. Completely backwards. Shoving Google reviews down the clinics throats when corporate is only looking to put a band aid on the issues instead of looking at the deep-set issues in the whole organization. Taking away managements ability to run a business is an oxymoron. CEO hosts calls where he talks highly about the sales team but glosses over why the company exists - the clinics. The clinics are operating everyday with highly educated, driven, smart and talented people who do not get any credit as they do not bring in enough money. Without the clinics, sales wouldn't exist. CEO passes blame for poor NPS scores on the clinics and clinic management. Even stating that the most recent NPS score is the lowest he has ever seen in his career. I think we need to take deeper look at what is flowing down from the top prior to shifting blame to the clinics. Reporting is consistently incorrect with no apology at the amount of time and pay this is taking away from our teams. They take the approach of "maybe if we pretend it isn't happening, it will go away." They want to talk all about change management and "trusting the process" but unwilling to be transparent about changes. Corporate management hosts national calls for field leadership asking for direct feedback and questions. As the feedback and questions roll in, we get hit back with "don't throw stones in a glass house". And then continues to get defensive and turn things around on field management. Saying we need to figure our stuff out before we can insinuate there are opportunities in other areas. Making mocking statements at questions and concerns being brought to the table. Even if this *new* management does understand the business, they are doing a good job at acting like they've never walked a day in our shoes or industry. Change is good. Growth is good. What is not good, is acting like a bull in a china shop, and being unwilling to see eye to eye the people running their clinics. People who have been working day in and day out in the clinics and who have 15+ years experience in the industry and management.
