      Fidessa was great, Ion not so much

      Pros

      Before the merger, there was definitely a family and team vibe. This was a great place to work with awesome people. And fidessa had the sense that they cared about their employees.

      Cons

      After the merger, and once Fidessa became Ion it was a totally different company. Did not feel as employee and client focused, not sure what they are focused on anymore. Lots of people have left which causes more people to leave, and didnt feel like anything was done to prevent this.

      Pros

      In 9 years of my career I was never asked for work on weekends

      Cons

      The extreme level of micromanagement. You will be forced to take leave if your manager calculates you are falling sort of 40hrs in a week even though there is no official tracking tool! No career growth path. Your role and designation will never change. You will be forced to work in one role for the entire span. Don't expect variety and innovation in work Such works are reserved only for elite people in Italy. There is absolutely no source of motivation in this company that drives you to be performant. Whatever you do for them you will get peanuts in increments. You will laugh when they declare your year-end bonus. Just too let you know what this company is when you receive chocolates as Diwali gifts half of the box will be filled with dry grass. Company believes team events are waste of money and time, so they have removed all such allowance after they acquired our company. I can keep on writing in the section it but ending here.
