Pros

Teaches you mens cuts where cosmetology school doesn’t. Focuses on time more than anything, so you will get fast. The company as a whole is amazing, the location you end up at/ manager you end up with really determines everything.

Cons

My first location was amazing, I only left due to location. The second location which I’m reviewing was very cult like. If you were someone with zero opinion and no life, you’d be moved up, any opinion of your own and you’re not going to fit in. There was so much workplace drama literally everyone in there was depressed/ anxious.

-our salon owner, a licensed stylist that truly understands the life behind the chair! -continuing education is always available to support your growing needs from advanced cutting to leadership opportunities -weekly bonuses and commissions -flexible scheduling -we are a family -offers benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision, PTO) -apprentice program available for whose isn't licensed yet in cosmetology

Pros

My coworkers were beyond amazing, we all recognize that the store is a sinking ship that we’re all in together. I’ve met so many kind and amazing people here it’s just unfortunate this is not a good long term option as a hair stylist

Cons

You get paid hourly, which suck for a performance based job. At my salon I was paid less than minimum wage because “we get tips” which is actually awful, we should at least be minimum wage. Lots of favoritism and very very poor management, you’re promised everything you want at an interview to only find out it’s nothing what they said. You’re not allowed to have a consistent schedule, you’re not allowed to have a clientele, you’re not guaranteed any form of hours and if you do anything to upset management it is reflected in your hours. I was promise 40 hours a week and I’m struggling to get 20. No one ever takes time to explain any rules and you are expected to know everything when you start about the rules which is actually impossible. You’re consistently micromanaged and nitpicked whenever they make up rules on the spot every week! This place is impossible to be at for more than a month, I hate it so much. Oh the icing on top is that there is no benefits available for stylists!
