Pros

There was a decent amount of basic education which was nice as a newly licensed hairstylist. I learned a lot about clipper cuts, something that was mostly not taught in school, and how to be quick.

Cons

They expect all haircuts, no matter the cut, style of hair, etc to be completed start to finish in less than 15 minutes. I’m sorry but that is just not enough time for quality customer service. If I did not do this I was written up. I was written up for everything. Everyone was. I was once written up because after working a 9-hour shift I left at the time I was scheduled to leave. How can they do this?! I don’t know, but they write you up for every single little thing.

We're sorry you had this experience. Our cutting system, and advised haircut times, are based on data we have collected for years which shows the optimal time it should take to complete an average haircut. Every customer deserves a personal, quality experience. More time may be needed with some to ensure that happens...clearly others take less time. If you would like us to forward your comments to the franchisee who owns and operates the salon where you were employed, please email Jeanne@greatclips.com with the location. We will forward it to the owner for you. Thank you.

Pros

Consistently busy and great customers

Cons

Worst franchises I've ever worked for in Sacramento CA. They treat their employees like they are disposable when they already under pay, not loyal to their employees by lying when they are saying there's opportunity to grow. Management is ran by little girls so you can't even run to the owner.

Pros

It's a job, and a paycheck.

Cons

Low pay, too many hours, franchisees only care about profit, know nothing about the industry, treat employees poorly.

We are sorry about your frustration. Since Great Clips is a franchised company, the person best able to address your comments is your former franchisee. We will be happy to forward this to the franchisee if you would email Jeanne@greatclips.com. Please include the salon where you worked. Thank you for your feedback.
