Pros

In the beginning like any job Eataly was great. It was a great place to learn about Italian food and the culture.

Cons

The cons outweigh the pros especially in the Front End Department. There is so much favoritism in the department that the good workers bear the burden of the bad workers. The managers claim they have an open door policy but rarely give you a chance to explain yourself.

Pros

20% discount in the store to buy good quality products; 10% discount in the wine store for employees

Cons

Bosses in the company talk a lot about hiring from within (i.e., promotions) but don't follow up on their word. Employee morale is low. Pay is atrocious and nobody with whom I worked had any notion of staying with the company for more than one year.

Pros

Great crew to work with. Managers real people that jump in to help when you're in the weeds! For the most part guests are glad to be there & are appreciative of our help through the Eataly experience, so most are a pleasure to serve!

Cons

Tourists walk around in the middle of the rush like they're at a museum....no big deal but to be expected I guess when retail & dining are so intertwined.
