Horrible

Pros

Honestly nothing I can think of besides some co workers

Cons

- work 6-7 hours with no break - take advantage of FOH workers - pooled tips and gratuities heavily taxed - tips not fairly distributed and never show employees what they make per day. - “free staff meal” is non existent because there was never enough food for FOH employees - always out of product which hindered service - clientele very rude and condescending - Management is always lost, never give direction. Always walking on eggshells. - Favour Italian employees - Italian managers are very rude to staff. And most from head office - High turnover rate and every department. Typically hire visa workers and foreign workers to avoid paying proper wages -disgusting staff bathroom and Changing facilities, huge transparent open window viewing right into changing and bathroom area. (Anyone can look in from adjacent buildings)

Just Awful

Pros

You will never be bored.

Cons

Everything else. They are quick to “promote from within” but then don’t give the employees the support or training to do the actual job. When the employee then does not perform at the highest level according to them (based on the lack of training), Eataly starts taking steps to fire them. This is a revolving cycle in every department and position and has led them to their terrible track record of high turnover. This group is full of immature, unprofessional employees who promote drama and favoritism and treat their jobs and careers like high school.

Pros

GM & AGM reward hard work with promoting from within. You'll see a host become a managers or server grow into a manager role. They also create individual development plans for each manager and have one on ones weekly.

Cons

Wish we had free coffee!
