Career progression is challenging due to a perceived lack of transparency, with promotions seeming to favour certain individuals over others, leading to frustration among many high-performing employees. The leadership team is a source of concern. The department head's bullying behaviour and abrasive management style have created a hostile work environment, contributing to a high turnover rate and a lack of psychological safety. This is particularly evident in the worryingly high number of female leaders who have left or been pushed out. ​There's a widespread feeling of burnout and low morale among employees. There's a significant disparity between strategy and execution, with senior leadership frequently setting ambitious goals without providing adequate resources or staffing at junior levels to achieve them. ​The business model is overly reactive, lacking proactive, long-term strategic planning.

Very bearucratic culture where everything has to be documented, approved and signed off. There many gate keepers that can make your life a living hell. There are lots of people who are promoted because they tick all the right boxes in their performance review but are actually medicare or even bellow average. It's so demoralising to see so many incompetent engineers in senior positions.
