Candidate confidentiality was broken. Slack shared with my current employer that I was interviewing, putting my current job at risk. Grateful I didn’t receive an offer as I would not want to work for a company willing to do this.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
The interview process was quite long 7 steps. In one way, that was beyond my expectations, but in another it gives me confidence that they take their hiring seriously and want to make sure candidates are actually a good fit. For example, my last step was a lunch with a team member which i appreciated. Shows Slack cares about their team members visualizing working with someone before they actually hire them
