I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack in Jan 2020
Interview
Such a weird and time consuming interview process. The recruiter was AMAZING and super helpful with all of the steps. It's frustrating that the each interview was long and the presentation was very time consuming. One of the interviews they'll go through your resume for 90 minutes- yes 90 minutes! They drill into every little detail and it almost feels like an interrogation. I get that you need to understand why people made certain decisions to get to where they are but there's probably a better way to do it. The final interview was a presentation that could have been a bit simpler. It was very time consuming to do and unfortunately I didn't get an offer. Even if I were to get an offer, I would have still been irritated with the amount of time I spent in the process. Companies need to realize candidates aren't only interviewing at that specific company and should keep interviews shorter to respect time.

Question 1
What was one thing your manager would say you do well? what would be one area they would say you could improve?
Go through EVERY detail of your resume. Even if it was from 10 years ago. Why did you choose the college you went to? Why did you choose the degree you chose? What are you most proud of?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
Be prepared for a lot of steps in the interview process! For me it was two conversations with the recruiter, then a chat with a hiring manager, then a mock discovery call, then an in-person interview and finally a presentation. Personally it felt a little long given that it took a month in total, but the team was very friendly and supportive throughout.
