It was a long process with several interviews. I think I went through about 6 different interviews. It wasn't too bad but we didn't get to discussing compensation until the very last interview although I brought it up several times.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Parigi) in Sep 2021

Question 1
Tell of a time when you have been creative ?
How would you sell Slack to customer X where you sold X product in the past ? What would you do different ?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Slack
Interview
1) phone screen with recruiter via recruiter outbounding efforts to me on LinkedIn; she was very upbeat and positive, enjoyed our conversation and it felt much more fun than the typical phone screen
2) interview with 2 hiring managers at once - this was a real bummer because I was very excited about interviewing with Slack and I felt that one individual didn’t like me right off the bat/came off a bit cynical or lower energy while I naturally clicked really well with the other. I actually suspected this could happen based on reviewing their LinkedIns, but I tried to stay positive and energetic and not let it get to me. It’s really a bummer because had I had 1:1 interviews with them, instead of trying to interview with both styles at once (especially as I would only report to one of them, not both), I may have done better. I asked for next steps at the end and they said they needed to “circle up internally,” never good!
Sent personalized thank you and follow-up notes to both of them and as expected, got a reply from the one who I think liked me and nothing from the other. Got an automated notice about a week later that I wasn’t moving forward - I figured as much!

Question 1
Standard questions, but expect a lot of follow-up questions with each answer. How do you qualify? How do you dig for pain? What are you looking for? What kind of deal cycle are you looking for?
