I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
Like other reviewers identified, the interview process for TPM roles comprises 5 interviews after the initial screen. System Architecture & deep dive in your work experience, System design for a common product or service, Program sense, Partnership, Behavioral...
Each interview is about 45 mins and the interviewers go off of question banks. The interviews are very challenging technically and otherwise.
Interestingly, the technical interview questions were pretty standard but the Partnership interview was the weakest one with super vague questions. That interview seems to be a placeholder for the interviewer to see if they are able to like the candidate rather than go through the process impartially like the other interviews. Not very impressed with Meta on this front. What they tell you is that it is to see if you have worked with different teams cross functionally. But the questions in this interview have nothing to do with cross functional work and interactions. Rather, this interview is a catchall for whatever the interviewer of the day wants to ask.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
I was contacted by recruiter and after talking with him, a video interview was set up with a TPM. The interviewer was friendly yet I detected a weariness in his voice. I imagine it is tiring interviewing so many people yet hiring so few. I felt that I did okay until about half way through the system design question when he cut me off abruptly and I felt my chance of working at Meta slipping away. Then he told me how wonderful it was to work at Meta and inexplicably started talking about imposter syndrome. Not sure why - I wasn’t feeling like an imposter . There are brilliant people people at Meta, as there have been everywhere I’ve worked. Maybe it’s just something they say to everyone?
