I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Amsterdam) in May 2022
Interview
The call was for 15 min and they explained about the process. You can also ask them what to expect in the interviews. The recruiters are really there to help you to make the process really detailed and clear. They also give you tips on what to prepare, so better listen carefully

What was my experience? What was the biggest challenge?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Oct 2021
Interview
The Meta recruiting team is best in class .. after getting an employee referral for the position, my recruiter Heather went above and beyond preparing me for the interview and the company culture.
Unfortunately, on the day of my video interview, my interviewer (a) showed up 10 minutes late for the interview with no apology, (b) took another 5 minutes staring at the wrong computer screen and getting visibly frustrated he was clearly on the wrong window on his screen and I was watching his every move (including emailing the recruiter to whom I had to email and say I was watching him), and then (c) complained that he didn't have enough time to finish all the questions in the time allotted.
No apology and absolute arrogance .. it was the worst I've ever seen in a company. The other irony is my interview was the day after Facebook's very public 10/4/21 outage but my interviewer's arrogance and lack of interests in my answers really made me feel like asking how him why he thought his product was broken.
Extremely frustrating and worse, I think comments were entered as never got another interview despite being qualified with 2 Master's degrees and work experience. Extremely disappointing.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Meta in Mar 2022
Interview
Worst recruiting experience with Meta. I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and did a standard intro call. Nothing for almost 3 months after that. Recruiter then reached out about two roles and scheduled “informationals” with hiring managers. Both roles were very different from what I wanted to do and I really didn’t want to waste time, but recruiter encouraged me to find out more from HM. The informationals were really 45min interviews and within the first few minutes it was evident the HMs were looking for something else. Now I’ve been rejected by meta and can’t interview again for a good 2 years. What a waste of time. :|
Hiring managers - please do your homework and read the candidates resume at the minimum before you schedule a call.
Recruiters - don’t rush the candidates, please.
