I interviewed with the fitness manager. He asked basic questions, such as "what do we gain from hiring you" "why are you in the fitness industry". Very nice and respectable throughout the interview. He even allowed me to come and work out whenever I wanted.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Life Time in Apr 2015
Interview
3 interviews, one with Dept Head, then a training sessions then with GM. If you pass those then they hire you. Its 100% commission so unless you have a lot of clients then you will struggle. Be ready to have crappy checks. your amount you charge is locked in there is no negotiating with clients. So make sure you charge your rates nothing less but can always charge more. Bottom line be ready to compete and prove yourself. Be ready to be on the top of your game then striped down to nothing and treated like crap. Its all about numbers they don't care about anything else.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Life Time (Garden City, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was recruited online, then called by fitness manager. Once I expressed interest in then was scheduled for a face to face interview with fitness manager. Next was a practical interview with another fitness manager. She asked me to coach her and walk her through a consultation. Then she had me coach some correctives, and then talk through a few scenarios. Then, I scheduled a face to face with GM. Finally a quick phone interview with Regional Fitness director.
