LA Fitness interview questions

They did a group interview. And basically regardless of the position you applied for online, you have to start in a personal training sales position where you primarily sell (calling members, working the floor, or checking in people at the front desk) and conduct assements. The base pay is very low, but I will say there is opportunity to make a good amount of money if sales is your thing. Personally, I did not apply to a master trainer position so I could have a sales job that might eventually lead to the job I applied for. My passion is fitness, not sales. I think the job posting was highly disingenuous. I drove an hour to go to this interview, they were running behind so I waited nearly an hour to interview, then drove another hour to be late to an appointment. All for a job I had zero interest in. I worked for LA Fitness in Los Angles 4 years ago teaching group fitness, but the pay was ultra low and there was basically non-existent management. I thought Texas might be a different story, but based on the interview process I think the whole company structure is not great for employees nationwide. The guy conducting the interview was great. Nice guy and upfront. But I’m sure that’s how corporate makes all of the hiring managers run the interview process.
