I applied online. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2013
Interview
They mostly ask you about your training experience. If you have none, they ask you about your education. Mostly they detail the position for you and do more talking than engaging. The interview is honestly super easy and this explains why most applicants get the job. I mean, it seems like you literally have to punch the manager in the face and scream obscenities in order to not pass the screening. It's kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

Question 1
Do you have any experience dealing with upset customers?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Philadelphia, PA) in Mar 2011
Interview
No questions, just hired if possessing a current certification that is recognized as competent by the company. The club was relatively new, so trainers were needed. The manager introduced themselves and said they would give anyone a chance so there was no interview, just many forms to fill out that would be present in any new job.
