Deliveroo Software Developer interview questions

I was interviewed by one of the talent managers at Deliveroo. She seemed quite nice, if a bit disorganised. At the end of the phone screening, she said she would get back to me with a date for a 1-1 interview with an Engineer the following week, but she never did. I subsequently sent a follow-up email, which she did respond to about a week later. This email just said she'd follow up with more information within a week, which of course never happened. I'd have appreciated more transparency from them if they weren't interested in my candidacy.

Had a chat with the recruiter briefly and then given a take-home task to do. which typically takes 2~3 hours. Then I was invited to do the on-site interview, which consisted of three parts: a pair programming round which focused on explaining and improving the take-home task; a design round; and a behaviour round. The two technical rounds are both open ended in some way, so make sure you have the proper coding, project building and architecture knowledge. After a couple of days I received an offer. Unfortunately the package was weak due to me not performing that well in one of the three rounds.
