Initially had to go through a telephone interview to answer questions about my past experience, problem solving skills, management style etc. Unfortunately I did not get past the initial phone interview stage.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Deliveroo in Jun 2022
Interview
Short interview process - 3 rounds on Zoom. First chat was high level with a recruiter who didn’t know too much about the space, second was with Head of dept, final with wider team (I believe). Had a good connection with both recruiter and dept head and received feedback relating to the role which was overwhelmingly positive; all role specific stuff I addressed, excelled in delivering and was told I was perfect for the role in terms of experience. I was rejected due to being too “alternative” and I was unprofessionally late to the call (2 minutes, because the recruiter failed to send me the link until the time of the meeting).
Quite clearly a rejection based on homophobia given the role specific requirements I exceeded but the rejection was based on a farce of excuses. This company clearly has no commitment to diversity and the spiel on their ads is a lie.

Question 1
talk about an operations specific problem you solved
Hi - thanks for taking the time to write about your experience. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you faced during the interview process. It's clear that we didn't meet our usual standards . The delays and lack of clear communication were not intentional and I'm sorry for any stress or uncertainty this may have caused. Would you mind dropping me an email so I can look into this further, and try in some small way to make it up to you? jamie.edwards+glassdoor@deliveroo.co.uk
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Londra, Inghilterra) in May 2022
Interview
The process is unnecessarily long (6 stages), the interviewers were friendly and the study case was insightful and gives a good idea of what the job was. Unfortunately, the whole process takes a long time, which becomes quite stressful. The whole thing could have been done in 3 stages (interview with the direct manager, case study and last interview with other key team members. In the meantime, I interview for another company, got an offer and decided to accept it because Deliveroo was taking too long.

Question 1
Mostly "tell us about a time in which you had to..."
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I'm sorry it didn't come to fruition this time! Would you mind dropping me an email? I'd love to dig into this and understand why this process took 6 stages: we strive for fewer, as you suggest :) jamie.edwards+glassdoor@deliveroo.co.uk
